Boston Celtics legend Paul Pierce is the defendant in a lawsuit filed by a gambling pal for allegedly failing to pay gambling debts.

According to reports, Stephen Carmona is suing Pierce $180,000 plus interest, claiming that Pierce never paid him back. Carmona said that when he hosted a poker game on January 27, Pierce asked him for $150,000 in order to play with the promise to pay back Carmona within a week. Pierce allegedly lost $140,000 that night & gave the remaining $10,000 back to Carmona at the end of the night.

That next week, Pierce allegedly didn’t pay Carmona, but instead asked for another $40,000 at another poker game hosted by Carmona. Pierce allegedly was given the money & proceeded to lose it that night. After reported “multiple requests for repayment,” that explains why Carmona is seeking $180,000.
