LaVar Ball Pulls-Up On Patrick Beverley!!!
First name Tom, Last name Foolery... And I'm Everybody's Uncle!
Even this motor mouth... LaVar Ball!
The Los Angeles Lakers first regular season game was this week & all eyes were glued on the new face of the franchise - Lonzo Ball. Since declaring his son was submitting his name in the 2017 NBA Draft, LaVar has done a magnificent job with marketing his eldest son's talent.
From proclaiming Lonzo is better than Stephen Curry to guaranteeing Lakers Nation his heir to the throne will deliver LA to the promise land within a year, LaVar has been preaching to the congregation every chance he gets.
His impromptu, colored comments are the MAJOR reasons Lonzo has landed a HUGE endorsement deal with retail giant Target. Considering the bullseye he's placed on his son's feeble back, Target was the logical, no-brain-er choice for the projected rookie of the year to ink an endorsement deal with.
However, having a father that boast more than Cassius Clay comes with a cost. Lonzo discovered that first hand when his Lakers faced off against the Los Angeles Clippers. Pulling the shortest straw in a pull-to-play battle left the Lakers number one draft selection squaring up against the pesky, defensive-minded, no-holds-bars, savvy, veteran Patrick Beverley.
Beverley bullied Ball for 48 grueling minutes. Even when Ball was warming the bench, Beverley tormented him to remind the rookie that he was now in a man's league. Various times throughout the game Patrick make awesome plays then mimicked John Cena's "You can't see me," taunt. At one point the veteran screamed at the Lakers coaching staff, "Weak ass mutha fucker... Bring him out on the court with me & I will tear his ass up!"
Clearly Lonzo was rattled. Midway through the 3rd quarter NBA mic'd captured the rookie asking Coach Walton for a different match-up.
According to reputable sources, following the buzzing of the final horn, LaVar Ball stormed towards the Clippers bench & pulled up on Beverley like Birdman on the Breakfast Club. However, security was able to deescalate the situation before LaVar was able to put his paws on Patrick. Later the two would exchange blows via Twitter.
