Nitwit Fakes Death & Collects $80k in Go Fund Me Donations!!!
First Name Tom, Last Name Foolery… And I’m Everybody’s Uncle!
Including this walking dead member… Jose Diego.
Tired of living check-to-check, hand-to-mouth, 33 year old Jose Diego hatched a would be clever plan with his wife, Rita. The scheme involved Diego pulling off the unthinkable, nearly impossible modern day task.
The duo decided to cash in on the very popular Go Fund Me get rich quick scheme. Rita, who had taken drama in high school, put her acting skills to the test when she contacted family & friends via social media revealing her soul mate died tragically in a car accident.
According to a local source, many family & friends never questioned Rita’s story & donated funds through the kindness of their hearts. However, the faking death experiment crumbled nearly two days after Jose’s Go Fund Me Project reached its goal of $80,000 when Jose's mother called his phone to hear her decease son's voice, but was in fact greeted by Jose whom answered the phone by mistake.
Realizing their gig was up, Rita withdrew all of the funds, minus GFM fees, & immediately flew to Lebanon with her husband. The couple then posted thank you messages to family & friends for helping them start a new life abroad.
A lawyer working on behalf of family & friends that donated money to the crowdfunding company have filed criminal charges against the couple. Talk about a total…
Nitwit!
