Around this time of the year Oprah normally makes her rounds delivering stockings filled with goodies. Today, Oprah delivered something more valuable than her packages of favorite items to millions of people worldwide.

Apparently, a group of swindlers have joined forces & created an Instagram account entitled "own_Christmas." Other social media accounts using some form of Winfrey’s branding have also been sighted.

Winfrey, the CEO of The Oprah Winfrey Network, warned social media followers she is not affiliated with the fly-by-night social media accounts using her likeness - attempting to scam individuals. Oprah stressed, “I just wanted you to know that somebody out there is trying to scam you using my name and my avatar on social media, asking for money if you sign up for an OWN account on Instagram."

According to a trusted source, all social media fraud teams are working around the clock to eliminate all accounts that were not verified by the mogul.
